Joy in music, fun in learning ...

... this is my heart's concern, what I want to convey in class!

The cello has accompanied me since I was 6 years old and excited me from day one. The warm sound and the proximity to the human vocal range give the cellists a range of possibilities, whether as a high solo main melody or deep accompaniment in chamber music ensembles. With good playing technique and a lot of joy in playing, music can be an enriching companion in life. As a child and youth, I was able to play in the orchestra, chamber music and as a soloist and really enjoyed being connected to other people through music. For each student, I am therefore happy to respond individually to the needs and ideas. Enjoyment of music, fun with the instrument and stable technique are the main topics that I want to convey in my lessons.

Where?

the lessons take place in Hamburg. By arrangement, the lessons can take place at your home.

For parents

My teaching method  offers a natural path to the instrument through imitation and listening. I grew up myself by my first cello teacher, who comes from the Russian tradition. For me personally, it is particularly important to integrate the basics of music theory and solfeggio, i.e. ear training and harmony, into instrumental lessons.

For adult students

I am also happy to teach beginners and those who want to take up the cello again. In our first lesson we would get to know each other and can determine at what level we would like to continue working. Of course, it's important to me that joy comes first! That is why I believe that, especially with older cello students, personal commitment and joy are required.
